QUESNEL CITY COUNCIL> Laurey Roodenburg
Laurey-Anne Roodenburg, a second-term City Councillor, has called Quesnel home for the past 13 years. She’s not new to the political scene, however. She’s been very involved within the community in many different organizations.
In addition to her regular Council duties, Laurey has been appointed to the Safety and Protection portfolio on Council. She is the Council alternate to the Cariboo Regional District Board and sits on the Labour Relations Committee. Laurey leads the Canada Day working group and is Chair of the North Cariboo Parks and Recreation Commissions.
Laurey works downtown in a ladies clothing store. She and husband Herb have two children.
Laurey enjoys working with the people of Quesnel and city council. “I know there are lots of challenges ahead for us as a community, but I will work hard to make sure Quesnel thrives and grows.”
