Downtown Accessible Door Program
The City of Quesnel and the Quesnel Downtown Association share a common goal in improving the accessibility of the community for all residents, young and old. This program seeks to ease the cost burden of installing an automatic door opener for business and property owners, by covering 60% of the cost of installation.
2017 Facade Improvement Grant Program
The 2016 Facade Improvement Program was a success!
We are now accepting new applications for 2017! This program can provide reimbursement grants of up to:
Project applications must be submitted no later than May 31, 2017.
Projects must be completed with final supporting documents submitted no later than November 30, 2017.
To apply, complete the application form (review guidelines and map first to ensure eligibility).

Official Community Plan Update - 2030
The City of Quesnel is excited to announce it has begun the process of updating the Official Community Plan (OCP)! This is an exciting time and the City wants to hear your thoughts and ideas on how the City will evolve as it looks to the future.
Multi-family Housing Incentives Program
This program is intended to provide incentives for the development of multi-family housing units that improved accessibility
Incentives may also be provided for affordable housing units and/or developments that are of low environmental impact if they first meet the requirements of the tax exemption program.
About Development Services
The Mission of the Planning and Development Services Department is to provide excellent customer service by providing timely and accurate planning and building inspection services to the general public and development community. The department guides the overall development vision of the City to protect and enhance the area's natural and man-made environment, its economic base and its neighbourhoods to achieve a high quality of life.
The Department's responsibilities include Land Use Planning, Building Inspection, and Mapping (GIS).
