OUTDOOR CAFE PERMITS

An outdoor café is an outdoor seating area located within a public right-of-way (e.g. sidewalk or parking spaces) which functions as a seasonal extension of a restaurant.

Outdoor cafés are only permitted in certain areas of downtown Quesnel (see map Schedule C [PDF document]) and only two outdoor cafés are permitted per block. An application for an outdoor café permit is to be made to the City of Quesnel Planning and Development Services Department on the form provided by the City.
